simple. handmade.

Another go-round with the bookmaking. I want to have good samples for my class. This one turned out really great. I don’t have a perfectionists aesthetic  so the edges are rough and the binding is fragile, but I just love it. The buttons are vintage and the lace is recycled. The signatures include both handmade paper sheets as well as a variety of other papers I found lying around. We finished making paper in class, next week we begin discussion on bookbinding and felting. The kiddos will be making felted book covers for their books (another post is on the way seeing as how i should really make a book with a felted cover next). I had fun making this one. Loo had fun sniffing around too!
